Biocoenosis :

This plot is full of life, providing a habitat that is both welcoming and challenging for soil organisms. Its west-facing orientation can make the clay soils drier. Nevertheless, the presence of spontaneous vegetation supplies an abundant source of organic matter, enriching the soil.

Biotope :

The soil diversity in this vineyard plot is remarkable. At the surface, clay mixed with iron oxides gives the soil a light orange color, while deeper down, hard chalk and some flint are present. At an even greater depth, the bedrock consists mainly of hard limestone.
