Biocoenosis :
This plot is teeming with life, providing a habitat that is both welcoming and challenging for soil organisms. Its west-facing orientation can make the clay soils drier. Despite this, the presence of spontaneous vegetation provides an abundant source of organic matter, enriching the soil.
Biotope :
The soil diversity in this vineyard plot is striking. At the surface, clay mixed with iron oxides gives the soil a light orange hue, while deeper down, hard chalk and some flint can be found. At an even greater depth, the bedrock consists mainly of hard limestone.
